Alright Iowa’s disabled veterans — grab your coffee, adjust your camo Crocs, and fire up the internet because Chapter 53 just went full-on digital! Our new webpage is live and it’s slicker than a buttered ear of sweet corn at the State Fair. ✨ What you’ll find(besides our award-winning charm):
News and announcements tailored to our members — no fluff, just the good stuff
Upcoming events and meeting details — so you never miss the donuts, bingo, or the occasional tractor pull
Easy access to forms, documents, and guidelines — no decoder ring or magnifying glass required
Highlights of recent activities and community contributions — yes, your karaoke night rendition of "Friends in Low Places" is now immortalized
This launch isn’t just a fancy URL — it’s our new digital barn, built to connect, inform, and entertain (and maybe confuse your grandkids). Let’s make the most of this new space together. See you online — pants optional, but Hawkeye gear highly encouraged. P.S. If you can navigate a John Deere through a corn maze, you can definitely handle our new site. And if not, we’ve got tech support — just don’t ask us to fix your VCR. DAV’s Mission Statement
We are dedicated to a single purpose: empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. We accomplish this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them; fighting for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill; and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life.
For more than 100 years, DAV has been a strong and influential advocate for veterans’ rights and benefits. We are committed to fighting for America’s more than 4.7 million disabled veterans, representing veterans on Capitol Hill, and getting legislation enacted that protects our nation’s heroes and their families. Nearly 1 million members give DAV a powerful voice to make sure veterans are heard.
